History
Extreme Low Energy (ELe) was founded in 2014 by Mark Buchanan. The main idea behind the company was to save energy by removing the AC/DC conversion process when powering electronic and low-voltage devices. The idea was to deliver low voltage electricity directly to the devices and therefore be able to make use of locally generated renewable energy from solar panels and distribute this power straight to (or via battery packs) to LED lighting, Computers, TV’s and USB points for mobile phone and tablet charging. This use of low voltage micro-grids meant not having to transform the electricity multiple times and delivered a safer & simpler power distribution method for powering technology in homes, schools & businesses. The technology has since gone on to include low voltage heating and hot water solutions.
